Running program builder scheme of a network.
Program Neb consists of two parts: the scanner
and builder of the scheme of network Neb.jar.
Program for viewing and editing of the scheme
of network Neb_viewer.jar
On all scanned units it is necessary
to create SNMP community RO (read).
Before start of program Neb it is necessary to edit
a file of a configuration neb.cfg according to your requirements.
Structure and parameters of a file
of a configuration neb.cfg the following:
scanning
- networks which needs to be scanned. Through a comma the list scanned subnets.
exclude - networks which needs to be excluded from the list of scanning.
map_file - a name of a current file
with the scheme of a network.
community - SNMP community string.
scan_mode - set mode scanning
- fast - the fastest mode of scanning.
Quickly scans, but it is a lot errors.
- normal - optimum on time and
accuracy of construction of the scheme of a network a mode of scanning.
- slowly - big time of scanning and
thus very high accuracy of construction of the scheme of a network.
host_time_live
- this parameter shows how many days to store the information on connection of
client computers.
history_map
- this parameter defines a folder in which schemes of a network for the last
days will be kept.
history_num_days
- this parameter shows for how many the last days to store schemes of a
network.
To start
program Neb
for map development of a network by means of a command
java –jar Neb.jar
This
program running big time enough 1-8 hours (depending on a mode of scanning) and
the size of a scanned network and capacity of a computer on which construction
of the scheme of a network is carried out.
To start
program Neb
map viewer for viewing and editing of the received scheme of a network:
java –jar Neb_viewer.jar, or Neb_viewer.exe
(in Windows)
If it was
the first scanning a network you will see very confused scheme of a network.
What it to correct press button Edit panels of tools and change the scheme as
it is pleasant to you.
In mode
Edit you also can add and delete new units, links and comments, to change icons
for routers and switches, change properties of links.
After
change of the scheme of a network keep these changes.
In the further, at following starts of the
program the scheme of a network will be presented in that kind in which you
have kept it.
